At the end of the wharf I found all these colorful dinghys.
What a wonderful time at the Fisherman’s wharf in Monterey. And the clam chowder is the best.
In lower left corner of pic, can see seal pup suckling its mother and next to them a female soon to calf. Long section of bike trail fenced off. Spring is home to seals in the Monterey area. #california #coast (April 2017)

The Monterey Hotel is excellent value for money, in a great location five minutes from Old Fisherman's Wharf. The decor could do with a bit of TLC, but it was clean and comfortable and well equipped.

This motel was in a great and easy location to be able to walk to everything from. The room was clean, but very basic, and a shelf or small table to put our toiletries on in the bathroom (and soap in the shower) would have been helpful!
