"The lobby and rooms are nice and it’s in a good location to get to downtown. The room was not ready until 45 minutes after check-in time which was annoying because it wasn’t crowded. The bar had good food. Overall a good place!"

"I was pleasantly surprised at just how great my stay was. Especially at that price! I will absolutely stay there again the next time I'm in Monterey/Pacific Grove. When I walked to the back of the (large) room and rounded the corner, I found a table and chairs, microwave, refrigerator and sink. The balcony was being repaired, but I wasn't in Monterey to hang out in a motel. The only downside is that the parking lot was completely packed. I got the last spot and didn't have to park on Cass, the adjacent cross street in back. I can see why, though; this place is an unbelievable bargain."

"So bad. The bed folded like a taco when you laid in it. Dingy. Broken furniture. Tweakers banging around at 4:00 am. I don’t mind staying in budget places but this was the worst."

"Was put in a room a long walk away from reception (short drive) which was particularly close to the loud highway. On top of that the walls seem paper thin and I had a very loud snorer on the other side of the wall. Add this to all these fine print charges like a $35 daily resort fee for things I will never use (other than internet that is a given at any hotel) , $20 p/n parking fee on this massive property with parks everywhere and many other charges it all added up to a particularly distasteful stay which I am not used to being. Hyatt Gold Passport member . Needless to say I thought it was poor value and I will not stay again on my next year’s trip to Monterey. "
