"This place is on Mountain Road about 10 minutes drive from Stowe's main street. There are a number of restaurants and shops along the route. The layout of the lodge requires navigating 2 stairs to access different sections of the building. For example, to go from the main wing to breakfast you would likely have about 10 stairs in various locations. This is difficult for some people. The beds are just ok. Breakfast options are ok but don't vary. The innkeepers are friendly and helpful. Parking is good. The outside pool is not heated. The inside pool room feels like a sauna and is often crowded. Sprucing up with paint and replacing carpet is needed in various places."
"It was a very beautiful place especially for the price. We did not have anyone come in and clean the rooms during the day but not sure if they offer that there. The pools were nice the staff was great. It was a very enjoyable stay."
"We really liked this hotel. Pool and activity and game room were nice! Hotel was clean and staff were very helpful! Location was also great! Parking was easy."
"Magnifique petite ville. Pleins d’activités à faire. L’hôtel était très bien situé. Nous étions dans la section rénovée et rien à redire, c’était propre, de bon goût, lits confortable. La rivière derrière est un vrai charme. Le
Personnel sympathique et aidant. Nous recommandons cet endroit!"
"The Green Mountain Inn strikes the perfect balance between historic ambiance and modern resort convenience. We spent our days checking out the local trails and shops, and our evenings unwinding by the outdoor firepits and enjoying the pool. The hospitality here is incredible—every staff member we encountered went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The only con is parking is limited but they do have overflow lot."
"Great room at the inn (not the motel). Very comfortable beds. Excellent coffee, large common area with games and puzzles. The firepit was a treat. Perfect location for a walk downtown. The restaurant looked amazing. Unfortunately we weren't able to go but it was busy and had nice outdoor seating. "
