The best thing about the lodge is its proximity to Great Sand Dunes National Park. It is by far the lodging closest to the park. Scenery is gorgeous. There are very few dining options near the lodge. Pizza was available for purchase from the lodge office until 6 or 7pm.

The staff were so nice and the cabana was clean and roomy. The only thing to watch out for are the bugs that get inside, but that’s just because of the location and completely understandable.
