Lovely stay in Pompeii

We stayed for two nights whilst visiting ancient Pompeii. We had a very enjoyable stay. We found the staff very friendly, and the rooms clean and tidy. We would stay again.

Fantastic Hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Staff are fantastic and very helpful. Hotel is around a 3 minute walk from the train station, the archaeological park and local restaurants You can also catch the bus to Vesuvius across the road from the station. Good breakfast, clean rooms and a large bathroom. Swimming pool is large and clean. We loved our stay!

We loved the unique pool at this hotel. It was very conveniently located next to the Pompei ruins, and a good walking distance from the city. The downside to this hotel was the bed - extremely hard and uncomfortable.

Excellent Stay

Staff was very kind, flexible, and accomodating. Made fresh breakfast for us in the morning despite us traveling at 6 AM, had the room ready for us when we came prior to checkin time, and upgraded our room for free. Really this is a hotel that goes out of their way may God bless the staff of this hotel for the kindness they showed my family and I.

Hotel itself was great! Breakfast offerings were outstanding. The restaurant in front of hotel no longer wasn’t a big bummer. Our choice to stay was perfect to allow us to walk down to Pompei archaeological site entrance. The shops,market and food courts across from archaeological site was very convenient.

Perfect Location, Awesome Staff!

Hotel Villa dei Misteri is a great value, the location is ideal, and the staff is wonderful! Domenico, the manager, went out of his way to help us after I made an unfortunate error in my planning. The hotel is like a large motel, with a beautiful, very Roman-looking pool. The setting is quite pleasant. From there, it's only a short walk to both the ruins of Pompei and the Pompei Scavi train station. All in all, we found the hotel very comfortable, were very pleased with our stay there, and would not hesitate to go back!

Short walk from Pompeii. Lovely swimming pool and areas to relax around the pool. Very basic rooms with extensive updating required throughout hotel. Hard beds and poor air conditioning. Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurants grouped outside of hotel to the right past train station. We found the restaurants close early evening as they cater for tourists to Pompeii during the day. Limited close supermarkets options but few mins walk to train platform with regular trains into Naples or in the opposite direction to Sorrento.

Great location, walking distance to Pompeii ruins

When we first checked in, we were in economy room with no ac, we paid for an upgrade right away!!! We got a large room overlooking the pool. This hotel is a short walk to the train station, and a short walk to the ruins on Pompeii. Older hotel, but staff are super friendly, free breakfast is great, bar service is great, and prices reasonable. Having the pool after spending a few hours walking around Pompeii was wonderful. It is a 5 minute walk to train station, then a 35 minute train to Sorrento. Location is great, and they also have free parking if you have a car. Would definitely stay here again, in an air conditioned room!!

If you can manage without A/C it is ok

Location is great for a visit to pompeii og mt vesuv. Beds are hard, but somewhat ok. Nice pool to cool of in. Breakfast is decent. The staff is really helpful, there is not much they can do about the big issue: A/C not working. Talked to other guests as well, and there are issues with A/C. If it works the noise is such that you cannot sleep. We had to rooms - one room the a/c did not work and the other with noise problems. We planned on styaing for multiple days, but left after one night due to the heat.

Central to train station and Pompeii tours. Nice pool. Hotel seems to have not changed since the 1960s. Clean but basic. Not Even a glass in the room! Next to the railway line. Internet so weak that We could not Even download a paper or Get streaming services. Only place with working internet was at the pool. Also no restaurants nearby. Takes 30 min to walk to village Square here there Are some nice eating places.

Location!

What a great location! So close to the Pompei ruins entry and the train station. The restaurants near the train are open a wide range of hours and the food was great. The hotel is an older style but matches the photos. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was immacutely clean and the room was spacious. Had free parking on site. Breakfast was a wide variety of options and proper coffee! Couple of little downsides were not many powerpoints in the room and the shower over bath wasn't very long. Would definitely stay again

Hotel is very close to restaurants and Pompei ruins. Front desk staff was very nice. He allowed us to store our luggage in his office while we visited the surrounding area. Onsite restaurant is closed. No room amenities such as coffee, but the free breakfast area was great with a very friendly barista. Shower would be better if it had a curtain to keep the room from being soaked. Low water pressure for toilet flushing.

Idealement bien placé pour découvrir la région

Hôtel dans son jus mais extrêmement propre et bien tenu. Un personnel au petit soin et une piscine très agréable. Un room service minimum mais à un tarif très abordable. Difficile d’être plus proche des vestiges de Pompéi (5 minutes) et de la gare de train qui dessert Naples et Sorrente (faut avouer que les trains passent près (très près)) de l’hôtel. Attention si vous craignez mais ils ne passent que 2 fois par heure dans la journée. Idéal en tout cas pour faire toute la côte Amalfitaine de Naples à Salerne si vous êtes véhiculés.
