An absolute gem! Caroline was friendly and responded to emails quickly. Checking in was easy. Stayed in Jade room with plans in being a solo traveller. However my friend was travelling back to her house in France, and i asked if she could stay with me too. This request was accomodated with only an extra charge for breakfast. Jade room is a smallish double so my friend camped on the floor (she always has a travel bed). The separate bathroom was huge: double sink and really good shower. Breakfast...

lovely place in the quiet countryside. only 10-15mins drive to the nearest town for restaurants, shops etc.. Perfect if you want to stay away from the traffic/town noise. I was only 30mins drive from Rennes which was perfect. The hosts are very friendly, welcoming and their food is excellent.

Staff were excellent and very helpful. Room was lovely and great for limited mobility. Great location. Vitre is a beautiful town.

Secure parking for out motorbikes and easy walk into town, a good value hotel in a great location.

Wonderful stay in this beautiful and quirky hotel. Staff were great and the rooms comfortable and fun.

We booked À la Mainguère at quite short notice, for a quiet night before catching our ferry back to England the next day. Well I have to say, that after one night, we want to book again and for longer! What a fabulous place to stay and with just perfect hosts too. The attention to detail in all areas from greeting us, the presentation of the rooms, to a fabulous breakfast. Thank you so much. Hospitality at its best.

Stayed for 3 nights in October 2025. The stay was very pleasant. The room was comfortable, warm and clean. The hosts were very accommodating and done rverything to make my stay plesent. The property is in a very nice, remote, and quiet area. Chateaubriant is a ten minute drive away, with lots of nice restaurants. Dinner one evening was very plesent and good value for money. Would definitely return.

Lovely place to stay. Eric was very friendly and accommodating. We were very well looked after. Two fresh tasty local breakfasts started our day and a perfectly chilled bottle of wine finished our Saturday evening

Stayed here whilst visiting a chateau in the area. Lovely peaceful surroundings, giant chess in the vast gardens and a tree swing. Added bonus for us was the free electric charge points. You had to get a code from reception and they were only slow chargers but that was ideal for us as we plugged in overnight. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Quiet clean room overlooking the gardens. Perfect venue for a bigger gathering too.

It was great. Beautiful surroundings, great staff and comfortable roomk

What a gem of a place, not easy to find but once you do it’s great with the perfect host Only one issue was the bath not holding the water which is an easy fix other than that I’d recommend the place without hesitation

Very nice place to stay. Great room and ensuite. Nice owners and really enjoyed the home made honey
