"This was the worst motel I have ever stayed in and as a result will not chance another stay at a Red Roof Inn. The only thing good about it was the front desk clerk.... she was excellent and very apologetic for the condition the owner had let the facility get in.
The web site stated breakfast with fresh fruit, pastries, cereal, etc., newly renovated rooms, and THAT IS AS FALSE OF ADVERTISING AS YOU CAN GET!! The only breakfast item was waffles....ONLY the waffle.. and syrup. No butter, no beverages except coffee, absolutely nothing else. I booked 4 rooms for my family and we had to go elsewhere to purchase something for the children to eat that morning. I asked for butter.... the front desk clerk found a tub of cheap margarine in a back refrigerator and upon opening out was so old and dried up I doubt anyone or anything would have used it. The rooms were a disgrace... holes in the walls, ripped vinyl flooring (I tripped on one of the rips and almost fell ), the towel bar fell off at me. If it hadn't been so late and everyone so tired I would have demanded a refund and gone to another motel.
As it is I asked for at least a partial refund to cover the extra cost of the breakfast we had to buy. The clerk contacted the owner and they did not reply.
I am asking for a refund/ compensation of some sort from you as you obviously do not do any checks of properties before you list them for unsuspecting travelers. "
