Don't be put of by the crazy traffic in Mumbai, for me it is what creates part of its character.
Mumbai is a city of contrasts. It is certainly not for the faint hearted traveller. The cheapest way to get around the city is by train, taxis are cheap too, you can use Uber. Everyone is friendly and most will understand English.
Better air and cleaner than delhi, but crazy traffic
Over crowded, pollution is rife, very noisy, chaotic roads, unbelievable contrast between rich and poor areas (which are sometimes right next to each other), a lot of uncomfortable stares and asks for selfies just because of our skin colour...
People in Mumbai were quite nice. That is what I liked best about the city. However, it is an expensive city.
