"The location was beautiful but in early September there was no one about and very few places to eat or drink in Hjo The hotel was popular but only with older retired people. It felt like the hotel and town was about to close for the winter"

"One of the most memorable hotels we stayed at on our Swedish drive trip. The hotel rooms were very quaint and the restaurant was outstanding. We had an elaborate, traditional, Swedish dinner and then in the morning a very well prepared breakfast. We stayed one night, but wished we had stayed several nights."

"Lovely old fashioned hotel. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good There was no lift but the staff did carry the bags up stairs. Only small negative was there were too many dos and don’ts notices in the room. "

"This felt like staying in a friend’s farm house. What a neat way to take a break road tripping through Sweden! The house is spacious, plenty of games, pool table and places to roam after being in a car all day. Coffee and tea with all the fixins are readily available. Sit and read or chat with the other quests. We really enjoyed this unique lodging experience."
