"For a historic boutique hotel it was decent. It was kinda hard to get to for our driver. The rooms were definitely older with older furniture, dated looking bathroom, and a noticeable smell. The breakfast was convenient. As a westerner that it fine with the Hampton Inn, it wasn’t somewhere I would book again."
"Beautiful property with excellent food and coffee. The staff was very kind and helpful. The rooftop breakfast was a nice respite from the busy town. I felt very secure staying there with security on all night. They were helpful with recommendations for sightseeing and other restaurants. I was able to leave my bags locked up for a late checkout. Transfers to and from the airport were quick and seemless. Very nice place to start your stay on Zanzibar."

It is not a modern, polished resort-style property, and that is really part of its appeal.
