"Korovou completely exceeded our expectations. The lodging is simple but was the perfect Fiji experience we were hoping for. We came from a resort with more amenities on the main island, but Korovou was the highlight of our trip. Amazing staff, especially Abo, our main activities guy, and the ladies in the kitchen, as well as all the others constantly working on property, even down to pouring cement and raking the beach. We felt like family here, and met so many people from around the world. You can feel the care and passion put into everything they do. We ate like kings & queens, with plates piled high with delicious homemade food, we even got a surprise beach picnic at no charge with food made over the fire, and were taken by boat to a new beach to explore. Gorgeous coral reefs right out our door, with optional day trips to see the coral garden at Manta Ray passage. (no rays when we went but it was beautiful) Reviews are true when it comes to limited electricity, low water pressure, and extra charges for food and boat tender, but it did not affect our trip negatively in the slightest. Just come knowing those things and having an open mind. Vinaka vaka levu to everyone that made our time here so special."
"This place is beautiful and serene. We loved the size of it and having a more intimate experience with fewer guests. The staff were so gracious and well trained, they really were the highlight of our experience there.
Another highlight was the food. The chef did an excellent job of choosing the menu items and introducing us to Fijian food. The freshness of the fruits and vegetables was excellent and we felt that we had very good choices.
The only downside to our stay was unseasonable weather that kept us from doing several things we were looking forward to doing like kayaking and paddle boarding, but we did get to snorkel although it was chilly. The house reef is very good and the guided snorkel was fantastic so highly recommended.
The bures are very nice, we loved the outdoor shower and the hammock and beach chairs. We also loved to be able to be barefoot throughout the property as it was so well maintained. The gardens and flowers throughout are gorgeous."
"Beautiful island, very nice lodge, modest, clean, do not expect a luxury hotel, but nothing is missing. The staff is very welcoming, nice and helpful, wonderful friendly people. The sea is gorgeous, nice for swimming and snorkeling, boat trips are available to attractions near by (cave, blue lagoon, etc). TIP: bring some cash with you. They do accept credit cards, however some of the costs are in cash (food, boat tours). For a family of four and a four days stay, about 1500 Fiji dollars will do"
"This resort is a must if you travel to Fiji. We visited 2 years ago and knew we wanted to return. The staff is our Fiji family. Each individual cottage is so well built and maintained. Manassas and his wife Wati are the original builders and both still stay active at the resort. I encourage travelers to not just stay on the main island, but discover the surrounding islands."
