#Nagano is known for #soba so eat soba in Nagano. Simple logic. #ttot #FoodieFinds From Matsumoto, I had to go back to my friend's place in Gunma with a stop at Nagano. I left the station to find the nearest and highly rated soba shop. Aburaya 油や was on the tabelog list. I ordered the Kamo seiro cold buckweat noodles with duck meat and onion added (literal from the English menu). It was a lot of soba noodles, as a fat kid, I finished it. The waiter had to come and try to spit out all the English he knows with charades as he saw my clueless face on how to eat it. I knew that I had to dip the noodles on the duck dipping sauce. What I didn't know was to do with the red teapot. I stared at my food for good two minutes and there were two waiters hanging out in the service counter which was on my right side. They probably felt the need to help out this clueless chick. I am not that educated with soba noodles but I know when the noodles are al dente which they were. The dipping sauce had duck, can't complain because I like duck. It was a nice subtle taste to end the meal with the left over duck sauce with the soup on the teapot. How to eat soba noodles: You dip noodles on the dipping sauce. Mine was duck, this is probably why I was confused because it wasn't the regular dark dipping sauce.
