Beware: This hotel is not in Nanjing!

We were very surprised on arrival to learn that this hotel is an hour outside of Nanjing. It may look like a great bargain at expedia prices but it's only a good deal if you don't need or want to visit the city. It costs US$30 each way for a taxi and once you go back to your room you have no access to any facilities except those inside the hotel.

Cozy hot spring hotel

The hotel environment is nice. We booked a villa with an outdoor hot spring pool which was nice and can accommodate my family of six. We had a great time! But food at restaurant was just ok.

Beautifull getaway

The regalia was a beautifull hotel, I got the impression we were the first foreigners or "laowai" there so they were making an effort. We were greeted by a woman who spoker perfect english who showed us to our (beautifull) room and checked us in there. Unfortunatelly the hotel is a bit far from Nanjing (about a 30 min drive) but they WILL provide a shuttle service, however, this is only at 1 pm. Otherwise you have to pay for a taxy (about 120 rmb). It is in a really nice area, new development, clean, green...but like i said before... kind of inconvenient location. My two complaints would be: 1. There was a confusion about what train station I had to be picked up at, but that was partly my fault so just make sure you tell tem WHAT station or aiport you need to be picked up at. 2. The room service food was pretty bad... But the hotel really IS beautifull, amazing bathtub and good service. I will go again in december when the villas are finished, and would reomend it!
