This place is in the middle of nowhere! If you think you are going to see the deer at nara, forget it! No tea or coffee in room and breakfast does not cater for westerners- bed was comfortable

Penny pinching accommodation at an exclusive price

I would not recommend this hotel. Over the past six weeks I have stayed in over 9 hotels across Japan. This hotel charges luxury prices, but provides basic accommodation and service. The rooms are small with modular bathrooms. Accessories are provided in single unit pouches. No coffee or tea service. You can receive only 2 instant coffee bags per day of bad coffee. The towels are frayed. Very little thought into providing up scale service.

フロントの男性の対応がとにかくひどかった。これまで数多くのホテルに宿泊したが最悪（本当にホテルのフロント係？地元学生のバイトか？）。訛っているのか聞き取りづらく、通り一遍の説明を自分勝手に早口で一方的に喋るだけで、相手に応じた会話がまったくできない。 小生が「以前も宿泊したが、覚えていないので説明して。」と言ったのに、「カードは男性と女性と別々になっています。」との説明があっただけ。老人相手なのだから、「男風呂に入るには男性のカードを持っていかないと入れません。」と懇切丁寧に説明すべきである。 大和八木駅に他にホテルがないので、スタッフにCSマインドが欠けているのだと思うが、フロントの女性スタッフも笑顔も愛想もなく、事務的な対応しかしない。 前日宿泊したホテル日航奈良とは月とスッポン。スタッフ個人の問題ではなく、カンデオホテルズの責任者がきちんとスタッフ研修をすべきであると強く感じた。 また、室内の電話機にフロントの番号が書かれているプレートが小さすぎて番号が読めなかった。フロントの番号だけは、大きく表示しておいてほしい。 コップが収納されているガラス扉が上に開くので、ガラスの上に飲み物やコップを置けない。ガラスを開け閉めする度にガラスの上の飲み物をどけなければならず、不便だった。 ツインの狭い部屋なので、窓際の備え付けソファーは半分ぐらいにしてスペースを確保し、テーブルをもっと大きなものに変えれば、テーブルなら移動できるので、より快適に過ごすことができたと思いました。
