"This was one of the favourite places we stayed on our trip. The kids loved the bunk beds, the large table was nice to sit at, the kitchenette was very useful. The staff were very nice and helpful. There were some good places to eat nearby and the bus and train stations were close. Not far to some excellent shopping areas. Would return!"

"Didn’t plan it but our stay coincided with the Gion festival in mid July. Mimaru even offered free guided tours of one of the elaborate floats; what a unique experience! The location is in a quiet neighborhood but easy walking distance to all the shopping and restaurants. The unit is clean, bright, and enough room for our family of 4. A great stay for our first trip to Kyoto. Highly recommend!"

"Nice clean place. Very friendly staff. Kids enjoyed the bunk beds. Our family of four fit in reasonably well, although the room did seem bigger in the pictures. Nijo castle is very close, but for everything else we took an Uber. Location is not very central, but close enough to, say, Kamo river. All in all, a very pleasant experience."
