Medium quality hotel

The hotel has a good location and the breakfast was good. Unfortunately, air conditioning and, even, blackout curtains are missing! Still, the price of the room was quite high.

Very disappointing

It might not look far from the station on the map, but it is quite a climb and the taxi cost £13. I was put in the room farthest from reception. Evening meal, the website showed a nice looking plate and as it was so far into town I decided to eat in. The menu was amazing, there was a choice of five or six different additions and dressings you could add to the only item on the menu, a hamburger. Having said that it was OK. Hotel web page mentions Fjord view. No.

Zum Hotel geht es vom Bahnhof aus etwa 20min den Berg hinauf. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und umfangreich, die Zimmer in Ordnung.

An sich ist das Hotel gut gelegen. Es gibt mehrere Supermärkte in der Nähe. Auch das Zentrum ist zu Fuß innerhalb weniger Minuten erreichbar. Allerdings ist das parken vor dem Hotel relativ teuer und es gibt auch keinen Rabatt für Hotelgäste. Das Hotel ist auch eine Anlaufstelle für Busreisen, was sich spätestens beim Frühstück negativ bemerkbar macht.

Et hotell som jeg har benyttet meg av en rekke ganger. Alltid god parkering, stille og rolig i passende avstand fra sentrum. Kanskje litt langt og gå på småglatte veier, spesielt når en skal tilbake til hotellet. Hvos det er noe som kan trekke ned er frokosten. Kanskje man er litt for godt vant fra andre steder, men har aldri gått sulten fra bordet.

Vi er et eldre par som reiste med en god del bagasje pga lengre biltur. Det var en overraskelse at det ikke fantes heis i hotellet og veldig lang vei å gå til rommet vi ble tildelt. Det var ikke mulig å få byttet rom, men resepsjonisten bar den store "amerikakofferten" vår ned trappa, og morgenen etter var det en sterk dame blant rengholderne som så problemet og bar kofferten opp den samme trappa.

It was a good place but service at the front desk was slow as no one was at the desk most of the time and you had to ring a bell then wait. They also charge for parking now. They just started about 2 months ago and it's an automated system with cameras that read your licence plat when you enter, then when you leave you must pay at the kiosk in the entrance. The restaurant was closed on Sunday, the day we arrived, but the breakfast wa very good on Monday morning.
