We did 3 nights here, then 2 nights at Atlantis as a changeup, then returned for 2 more nights. It was a good combo. Less ritzy but very acceptable. Great to see another aspect of this island and a little bit more of the Bahamian atmosphere.

I had a great stay at Towne hotel. Nice historical feel to it, and interesting art to look at. The staff were really helpful and friendly with amazing local knowledge and suggestions. Really nice clean room with a comfortable bed and lovely breakfast. Great location. I would highly recommend if you are visiting Nassau.

Towne hotel is located in an older, historic building in downtown Nassau. Its located only a block off of Bay Street, and is in easy walking distance of LOTS of local souvenir shopping and sights (as well as a couple of bodega-type stores. Yes, the building is old (its historic, after all) and the decor is somewhat dated. Even so, it's a very unique space full of lots of character and is loaded with lots of original (local?) artwork throughout public spaces and the rooms. There is also a (currently) 58 year old blue macaw, Max (who may or may not choose to be temperamental).

The hotel is located in town and walking distance to McDoinald, Dunkin Donuts, grocery store and restaurants. Plenty shopping stores but expensive as it in the location for tourists off the cruise ships. Needs getting proper information to use the bus routes but taxis are plentyful but can be expensive. Hotel need a little updating but it is clean and secure. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Staff was so friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable of the area. Food/Drinks at the bar/ restaurant were delicious and affordable. I was in the junior suite which included a microwave and refrigerator. Loved that. One down side water takes forever to get hot (I was there in winter) but I had friends have the same issues at their hotels so it could be the area.

This hotel is very old and not fancy, but it is unique and has a lot of character. The room was clean, the bed was good, the breakfast was sufficient, and the front desk was extremely courteous and helpful. It is in the heart of downtown Nassau, and the perfect location for what I needed.
