"Room was old and tired, stains on walls and furniture, drapes had holes , windows were dirty so you can’t enjoy the view, no coffee pot and when I asked for one they told me NO , even as my original booking said I had a tea and coffee pot , typical where hotels.com ( Expedia group ) and the hotel owners don’t really care about details all they care is about making money! They just point fingers at each other …. And do not make it right . I have pictures to show but I can upload them."

"Hotel was beautiful, the service staff was exceptional and the breakfast selections were fantastic. I would definitely plan to stay at this establishment again when I visit Panamá city again. I would not be opposed to trying one of their other properties based on my experience at the Riu Plaza, Panamá city location."

"air conditioning was out in the whole building for my visit. they notified me of this ahead of time with the option to cancel & if not, provided me with a box fan instead at my request. this was an unexpected overnight stay due to last minute flight changes & while the staff was friendly & accommodating, the room was not enjoyable. due to the overall climate, there's unfortunately a major cockroach issue where I was killing bugs all night & couldn't sleep. major fumigation & pest control is needed"
