"I really liked this place and I am pretty picky. The island has lots of elevation differences. So as usual, you will climb some steps to get to rooms. Nothing unusual but if it is a problem then this place (and most others) could be a challenge. To me it’s worth it. Cool island vibe and eco conscious. "Got stuck in STT a couple of nights when flights were cancelled due to Hurricane Erin. Staff were very courteous and accommodating, even as they were at work during a Cat 5 instead of at home with their families. Parts of the island flooded and were without power, but the Emerald Beach Resort had a generator and felt very safe. "Blue Beards is a lovely place to be. Its high on a hill and there are lots of steps! The road up to the place is not in great shape. Walking up and down the hill to town can be a little difficult. Blue Beards itself is fantastic. The view is amazing. The grill has great food with gluten-free options, which we needed. The staff are all very helpful and friendly!"

"The staff is incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make your stay amazing. Shout out to the transportation supervisor Ms. Freeman, she went above and beyond to find a fruit that I had 40 years ago on the island and get me some. The property is very clean and the beach is awesome. Will definitely be coming back."
