"Our stay here was very pleasant! Upon check in, the manager gave us a very warm welcome and said all of our check in info was in our Expedia app which was straightforward and accurate. He let us know if we ever needed anything, we can contact the front desk through text message. The rooms were very clean and the location was conveniently located next to a few bus stops which helped us get around the city. The highlight of our stay was definitely the great customer service."

"This is a true gem! Check in was 4pm and we arrived around noon exhausted after our early flight from NYC. We asked about an early check in or if we could store our bags when we arrived at the hotel. There were extra rooms and they put us into a room right away. We were about to shower and head out to explore SF completely refreshed. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. We had a fabulous dinner at Nari. Not only was the restaurant and food beautiful, the food was inventive and delicious. The next morning we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast outside overlooking the koi pond. Don’t miss the yummy Japanese rice pudding! We will definitely be back."

"A lot of great things. My wife stayed for 9 days during my surgery at UCSF. Treated and accommodated by the staff beyond expectations. We love the neighborhood and proximity to the presidio. Parking is not spacious, but it's free and it works. The room was cleaner than we have ever seen it. This was around our 10th stay. The only thing that kept it from being a 5 is the presence of a roach in the shower on day 3. First time we ever experienced that."

"The Chancellor Hotel has a great location on the Powell Street cable car line, half a block from Union Square and four blocks from Market Street. It's an old hotel, built 100 years ago, so the hallways are irregular and the elevator seems ancient. But everything works. The hotel doesn't serve breakfast -- I recommend the croissants at One65 on O'Farrell Street, two blocks away -- but it does serve drinks at night. They also offer cookies, apples, a coffee machine and lemon-infused cold water in the lobby (although a couple of times they were out of the water). They also have a machine in the lobby to fill water bottles. The hotel notes that they don't have air conditioning. That's generally not a problem. The rooms do have ceiling fans that help when it's warm. I'd stay there again."

"This was my first time staying here , I arrived with my girlfriend and dog and boy did this place surpass my expectations. It felt like home. It felt like I was in another country , like Spain. The ambience, the room , the kitchen , everything , it felt like I had a home in an another country and I didn’t want to leave. I will definitely will be staying here again , also extremely close to food and the bridge everyone makes a big deal about. 10/10."

"Great little inn located in a quiet neighborhood near Presidio. Highly walkable with reasonable covered parking and a nice bar/restaurant next door. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are nicely appointed with robes, comfy beds, and good climate control. Coffee in the lobby and cookies in the afternoons."
