Unfortunately, the hotel closed 2days after our stay. What a loss.

Great hotel sad it’s closing down

Staying here has been a great experience my husband and I loved it Staff as great and always attentive and the rooms were clean well organized and comfortable beds. Just hear about they will be closing the hotel down and it’s sad cause we were already planning on coming back next year. Well at least we got to enjoy this week beings here.

Had a wonderful time and the staff were all very nice and it was very clean. It was such a unique place a refurbished old building and it was super duper cute and for an awesome price! Would stay there again in a heart beat. The breakfast was Limited but it was good. The restaurant was very charming and in the evening the lobby smells so good!

Boutique hotel in the middle of downtown by the

Very quiet and clean quaint hotel that was a nice break from the repetitious regular chain hotels. The rooms were modernized and had air conditioning. (noise air conditioning) . Breakfast was very basic- bagels and toast. Desk staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Quite room

The hotel was quite, the bed was comfortable. The shower head was broken which made it difficult to shower, and there is no counter area in the bathroom to place items. The hairdryer was really good. We had the handicap room which we didn't ask for, but it gave us a larger than usual room.

Historic, renovated, on-the-square

Overall fine. Late arrival a little odd. Revovated place with minimal modern fixtures. Breakfast was cheerios, muffins or bagels with coffee and (good) orange juice.

Unique

Stayed one night while travelling between San Antonio and Houston. Hotel was unique and room clean with an updated bathroom. Outside doors get locked at night so be careful with late check in. Breakfast was simple - only muffins and bagels. Review parking rules as we got a ticket in the morning while parked across the street (luckily the attendant saw us getting in the car and and took the ticket back saying they tried not to give them to hotel guests)

Awesome stay!

Great choice for stay! This historical hotel is rich with history. Rooms are very nice and luxurious with a modern feel. Upon arriving with my wife for a week getaway we were warmly welcomed by Linda V. who checked us in. Process was seamless. The room was very nice and very clean. The windows overlooked the park directly across the street. Continental breakfast was offered every morning and on Saturday breakfast tacos with sausage and eggs were prepared to order by chef Hilda S. For evening drinks at the hotel bar, Chadd B. Was on point with great convo and outstanding drinks. (Old fashioned was on par). For dinner at the hotel restaurant (chop house) Dylan guided us through the scratch menu and my wife and I ordered the ribeye steak which was rich with flavour and cooked perfectly. Wine by the glass as well. Next day Vannette S. at front desk was very helpful and very sweet in helping us find things to explore in and out of town. Her genuine southern hospitality is something we will never forget. Last night there we had accumulated some food from going out. Martin P. took us into the prep area in the kitchen where we plated and heated up our food. He was kind to take the time to help us. In addition he was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us the quick history of the area of which he is native too. Upon leaving, we were ushered out with warmth and genuine kindness by Bri T. and Linda V. Both as sad to see us go as we were to be leaving. We will be back!

Great impression from the beginning. The staff was kind and helpful. The room was extra clean and quiet. Definitely a place I would stay in the future. Beautiful historical building and a great location.

Nice old retro hotel. Clean with friendly staff. Rooms are small but adequate. The only downside was some kind of electric plumbing fixture that was very noisy. We will be back for another stay.

Just Meh

The hotel itself is pretty and in a nice location walkable to several restaurants and shops. Unfortunately the room itself was very small with two double beds in it, like hard to walk around the beds small. The beds themselves were very uncomfortable and with two people in them you got the "taco effect" with both sliding into the middle. The Saturday breakfast was tacos, but the Sunday was a pretty measly selection of cold bagels or cheerios - and all of the restaurants nearby are closed on Sundays. It's a sleepy town so that was not all that surprising. We had high hopes for the hotel based on appearances, unfortunately it wasn't great.

There is No Going Back

We stayed at this hotel last year and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We went out of our way this year to stay at the Park Plaza Seguin but were disappointed with almost everything about the hotel. The were not nearly as welcoming as they were previously and the facilities were only merely adequate. We will not be going out of our way to stay there in the future.

Disappointed

Location is fair the hotel was rated a 4 star was very disappointing this hotel was not a 4 star the restaurant was close on Sunday and Monday the breakfast which stated in the reviews was a bagel with no butter they ran out this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. After driving many hours to come to this hotel we had Drive again to get dinner because no restaurant in the area were open because the town closes on Sunday and Monday a real disappointed

Aged Beauty

I went in knowing the hotel was in an old building. That being said, the cracked tiles and such didn't bother me since it is part of the charm. I do think the decor in the common areas needs a face-lift in order to bring some life back to it. I wasn't expecting the pump on the toilets but once I realized what the noise was, it was okay. The room was small but clean and comfortable. I would have no problem staying there again.
