"My room key needed to be reprogrammed, so I went to front desk for assistance. The lady with the glasses on who also does the laundry, said she can help. I gave her both my room keys, because I had two rooms, she programmed one then told me ok. I told her I needed the other one done too because I have two rooms. She then goes to complain, but she did the key then shoved it back into my hands. The next day I was sitting by the pool and the desk receptionist came to me and told me if I want room service I need to remove my dnd sign off the door. So I got up went to the room, but I didn’t have a sign on the door. But I still get my dirty laundry and bring downstairs like I was asked. So I was awaiting my clean sheets and towels, but was told I can’t get clean sheets, I can’t have my room cleaned, I can only get clean towels. I didn’t complain I simply asked for the clean towels. The lady brung the towels but didn’t give me any bath towels, so I asked for them. The guy told me to ask the lady, so I asked him because the lady had a problem with me and I wanted to avoid confrontation. He went asked for the towels and the lady started fussing again. I eventually get the towels and go to my room. The lady proceeded to call me out of my name and the manager stood there and let her. No actions taken but he waved me off"
"The grounds of the Myrtle Plantation were stunning . Our room was beautifully decorated and very classy. We stayed in the Octavia Room and had our own little balcony to look at lake, courtyard and the gorgeous mallard ducks. The restaurant on the property was spectacular!! "
"This hotel was certainly adequate for our purposes. The staff were polite, the beds were comfortable enough, and the room was quiet, which was most important for us. The room smelled strongly of marijuana throughout our stay, and the paint job around doors/edges was very sloppy, but that didn’t affect the stay. The mini fridge was bigger than most hotels have, which was convenient. If some minor cosmetic updates were made, this would be an excellent, not just adequate, place to stay."
