So happy I found this place

Was only there for the night but had fantastic food staff were excellent & had a great time at the bar followed by an excellent nights sleep. Room was so nice. Will be coming back with the family next time.

Lovely old pub but modern clean bright rooms. Very good food, great choice for evening meal, breakfast freshly cooked and excellent. Evening bar staff very friendly, cheerful, and efficient. All other staff very courteous and helpful making a welcoming place to stay. The only thing I can say as a down is that the hot water is a bit slow to arrive in the shower!

Wonderful country inn

We were given a very warm welcome and shown you our lovely room. After a breakfast with plenty of choice we drove to the park and drive and visited Lincoln. Both nights of our stay we didn't venture out but enjoyed lovely meals in the restaurant.

A Coaching Inn between Newark and Lincoln

This is a lovely, historical coaching inn that has recently been refurbished and tastefully redecorated. Our room was not large but had everything that we needed. It was attractive, clean, and comfortable. The breakfasts were freshly cooked by Richard, the Landlord, who was welcoming and an expert cook! His poached eggs were perfect! After spending the day enjoying the interesting landmarks of Newark, we returned to a roaring fire and freshly cooked, delicious meals. We joined in with the well attended pub quiz and had a laugh, and an interesting evening.

From the moment I arrived I was made very welcome in this very well presented Inn. Being in a tiny hamlet I expected the restaurant to be relatively quiet. I reality it was packed out, due I suspect to the excellent food and 1st class service. If you're in the area you'll do well to better The Lord Nelson Inn.

The Lord Nelson.

This small family run hotel is a friendly place to stop. I was the only person to stay for the 2 nights I was there but the service was great. The room overlooked the road to the east but was not noisy because of the soundproofing. Food, both breakfast and dinner was very good. Everyone was helpful. A lovely place to stay. With free wi-fi it was easy to search for the places I needed to go and as the hotel was on a main country road is in easy reach of both Newark and Lincoln.

Lovely heritage type accommodation and service was excellent and friendly. Even though there is a road outside the window the insulation and double glazing were excellent. Food and service were at a standard we rarely see in a small country establishment. The room was small but very well furnished with a modern and clean bathroom with quality inclusions, shampoo etc. There is even a quiz night with the locals who are very friendly.
