central stay

After the initial disappoinment of being shown into an uncleaned, poky apartment at the top of an office block, we were offered a larger, cleaner one overlooking the main shopping street in Newcastle. For a few night's stay it was OK. Near Marks and Spencer for food and centrally located for everything. Looking tatty and tired in decor (footprints on walls!) and currently in administration. Very hard to locate too - we walked the length of the street, asked locals and eventually phoned the reception for directions. Only one toilet roll provided in one toilet (there were two in the apartment) and uncomfortable, small single beds pushed together in lieu of doubles. For a family few days it was adequate.

Poor quality and badly maintained

Suitees were not in a good state and unclean. There was no hot water and this took some time to be sorted. Reception staff were uninterested and unhelpful.

City centered!

Brilliant for city center! Shops, pubs, clubs, bus and train connections all within easy reach. And no complaints about the 'City Apartments' either!

Will return

Far better option if you're staying in Newcastle for more than a night or two and prefer the space/facilities of an apartment vs versus limitations of a hotel room. Very central location, bit of noise from main street as people head out/home from night out.

hotel très bien situé dans le centre de NEWCASTLE,donnant un accès direct avec la standardiste.hotel très bien équipé pour y séjourner comme chez soi.Si nous devons rendre à notre fille étudiante, nous réserverons dans cet hotel.Nous recommandons d'encourager les managers à pratiquer des prix promotionnels régulièrement.

Would highly recommend for all ocassions

We stayed for only 2 nights and would happily have stayed for more. The apartments were quiet and immaculately kept - service was great. The location was perfect as they are right on the main shopping street and so stepping out for shopping, restaurants, theatre, cinema etc. is a doddle! A really great stay!

GOOD LOCATION-RECOMMENDED FOR 1ST TIME TOURIST TO NEWCASTLE

Location superb.About 200 metres away from Monument Metro station & 100 metre from bus station,Taxi just below apartment. Centrally located at Eldon Square-lots of shops,supermarket & restaurant at your door steps.

great location and spacious

great to have space. preferable to a small room in a hotel and well located.no more expensive than a hotel and much more freedom . just remember, NO PARKING. and parking not cheap nearby

A home away from home -- very spacious and comfortable (two bedrooms, two bathrooms), with large living area and kitchen detached from bedrooms -- perfect for a family. Located on a street that has been converted into a pedestrian mall, this hotel has the appeal of a relatively busy street life but also the misfortune of a relatively high amount of street noise, including at late hours of the night when rubbish was being collected and drunken youths were roaming about, making a ruckus. However, while it was a bit annoying, the noise did not reach the bedrooms and did not disturb my sleep at all. For the price, you get far more value than a conventional hotel and the convenience of a kitchen space. Again, perfect for a family.
