"Room in an old country inn. Room fairly basic but fine for a night or two. Close enough to Exeter to be accessible. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Would stay again if in the area. "

We felt the food options were very limited. The roast carvery needed a better variety of vegetables in my opinion. Breakfast was tasty although basic. Parking in the area is very tricky. The hotel is situated in the perfect place for visiting the local area on foot. We would visit again but eat elsewhere...

"The Carlton hotel is in a great location within walking distance of the beach and nearby shops and places to eat. Staff very friendly and helpful. I stayed in the Toorak last year and had a lovely time. The only recommendation I would make is the property would benefit greatly from a bit of an update which is much needed. "
