"The location is fantastic, just steps from the beach. Our room was basic but quite large and very clean with A sink, mini fridge, lots of drawers and closet space, bathroom with a shower. Nothing fancy but a great value at this beautiful location. there are stairs to climb, no elevator. The balcony is shared with other rooms but there is plenty of space and you have your own picnic table and chairs. Easy to walk to cafes and a few small shops."

"Everything was wonderful from the time we walked into the time we left. It was very clean and enjoyable just to be on the grounds and easy to get to the beach and bathrooms available there for use with the swipe of your room key. The pool was clean and heated and very peaceful. They had microwaves and refrigerators in the room. The continental breakfast was superb and included the ability to make your own pancakes and a cute little machine that tasted good also hard boiled eggs and yogurt and fresh fruit including bagels and toast and great coffee. Will definitely come back again."

"Hotel Maria is a real gem- low-key beach front, impeccably clean with a wonderful Italian restaurant right there overlooking the beach. I happened to meet the owner and he was incredibly gracious and welcoming. The hotel staff were so accomodating to all that we needed. The breakfast & snacks and beverages they offer complimentary are a game changer and make the stay that much more relaxing. We loved the proximity to Mystic and chance to really decompress when you come back. (In the summer, make a reservation for dinner in the "Beach Club" upstairs dining room with a great higher view of the beach and ocean.) Our search is done- This will become our family place to go and could not recommend it more highly."
