we spent 6 weeks doing a road trip... stayed at many Ryokans along the way including many of the famous onsen towns. This was the best .. not an easy place to get to but well worth the time and effort. WONDERFUL

Guesthouse Voketto - Hostel
Awesome architectural and design wonder. Friendly, interesting, conversational host. Played Flamenco guitar, talked music, design, and math with us. Also had a great conversation about the local area and some of the cool people who live in the town. Overall a unique and amazing experience! ...

Kanata Riverview House
It was such a lovely house. It was so nice to have all the space for everyone in the family, and at the same time the games and kitchen allowed us to have more family time together.
