"Travelling from UK to Switzerland this was a superb stop off. Easy parking. Really comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast, plenty of choice nice and fresh. We will definitely stay here again. Nice choice of restaurants within easy walking distance .. this place was perfect for us . Highly recommended "
"Our check in could be described as perfunctory boarding on the brusque . Upon arrival and pressing the bell we waited a few minutes and someone came along. Didn’t introduce himself or even say “ Welcome etc”, just “what is your name, then your room number is, handed over keys and asked about breakfast. We weren’t even told about the residents lounge ( which we discovered the next morning - a bit too late by then).
Rooms were moderately clean, with a couple of spiders and cobwebs in the ceiling corners and in the separate loo. One chair was stained. The bed was softer than expected but that’s down to personal choice.
The property was chosen due to its location ( just a few km from motorway), but also for the peace and quiet. Alas, we were disturbed at 1am for about 20 minutes due to noisy restaurant visitors leaving the car park, without any consideration for guests. You can guess - the usual, noisy goodbyes, shouting across the car park and lots of giggling, no doubt after several glasses of wine. Unfortunately my poor French wasn’t good enough to explain the disturbance to the waitress at breakfast. So when you book, make sure to ask for a room facing the car park.
Breakfast was the redeeming element as there was a cooked element including sausages, scrambled eggs and bacon.
When we checked out there was no enquiry as to ‘did you enjoy your stay’ etc."
"We stayed here for 1 night only as a stop over but found the property to be absolutely incredible. The location is just mesmerising with various champagne makers around the village. The B&B itself is just gorgeous. We stayed in a family apartment containing 2 separate rooms which was perfect for 4 of us. The lady owner was fantastic and despite none of us being able to speak French she was patient and helped with everything we needed. She could not have been more accommodating. On our arrival we were offered various complimentary hot drinks and we were also allowed to use the dining room for some food we had with us.
The breakfast was great with various options for everyone.
All in all we loved the experience and we only wished we could have stayed a bit longer."
