"The entry to the bed and breakfast was through the owner's residence. The state of the entry probably should have given a clue about the cleanliness of the rooms. The floors in the hallway looked as though they hadn't seen a vacuum in a year. Layers of dust on the furniture in the room, and floors that were not cleaned prior to my arrival. The shared bathroom hadn't been cleaned and the shower curtain was covered in pink mold. An old used facecloth hung inside the shower. I made this reservation based on positive reviews. I cannot recommend this business."

"Love the Litchfield Inn. Had a mix up with the room I initially booked through Expedia and ended up in a different room, but the Inn was very helpful through email and could not do anything about the room mix up because my reservation was initially booked through Expedia; but after some time I needed to put into this, it was taken care of. The Inn is Gorgeous, very clean, has very comfortable beds and the fireplace rooms give an extra ambiance when settling down for bed. Love it here. Will definitely be back. My only ask is if the pancakes in the morning could be a little thinner? They are very thick - I know this is an individual preference and does not effect the wonderful stay you will have at The Litchfield Inn."

"Don't get fooled by any negative reviews you read, as my stay at The Alander was one of the best. From arrival to departure, the staff at The Alander went out of their way to make my stay wonderful. I informed the staff the morning I would be there that I would get there late. Check-in was seamless as they provided a code for your room, and the lights were turned on when I arrived. The cozy room had a cabin feel, a king bed, ample space, and plenty of amenities. Fresh ground local coffee, homemade granola, and yogurt were just a few of the small touches that set The Alander apart from other independently owned lodging I've used. The next day, when I was out, housekeeping personally texted me to ask if I needed anything. WiFi ran smoothly, and though I didn't take advantage of the firepit, next time I could definitely see sitting fireside roasting marshmallows! The Alander was great, and I certainly will stay there next time I'm in the area."
