"Can’t really go wrong with this hotel. Stayed here for 5 nights.
Rooms were clean, very well organised. I had a top floor room (405) and had a balcony that faced the sea and the pool.
AC was broken at first but the maintenance staff were so quick to repair it, didn’t even need to ask twice. The Nepali maintenance man made my stay absolutely perfect and deserves a raise as every time I saw him, he was working so hard and determined to do a good job at everything he put his mind to.
Be sure to keep the AC on when you’re not in the room though, else you’d be greeted with a boiling hot room on your return.
The receptionists at first left a really bad impression: they couldn’t offer any advice on things to see (one instead suggesting I use Google rather than asking her). However, that same receptionist turned out to really care about her job after she scoured every room looking to return a lost phone to the rightful owner. So they do care, they’re just curt and not enthusiastic about being there.
Location is quite bad unless you want to be away from everything. It’s not actually in St Paul’s Bat proper, but rather in Xemxija, a small suburb on the outskirts of St Paul’s Bay. Still, plenty restaurants; a few shops; a fresh fruit market. We had everything we needed and didn’t mind the quiet."
