Poor service
We were not at all happy with the owners attitude towards us during our stay. Day one I told him not to bother with croissants as we did not like sweet things, apart from that there was packet toast and jams and yogurt. At no time did he ask if we would like something else. We were there for five days! My husband ate a croissant each day as he was hungry. I asked day one for a pillowcase for my second pillow, it never arrived. I asked for a spare roll of toilet paper in our room asthe owner is not present overnight . I was told that he would assess our toilet paper needs and would distribute it as he saw fit. I bought my own. Of an afternoon he turns the terrace into a bar serving drinks and food to people who walk in off the street. He has a sign saying Free entry to see views of Noto. Enjoy a cappuccino with us. He is serving people some days from 4 in the afternoon to 9.30 at night. This is all going on on the terrace above our room and with people tramping up and down the stairs outside our room. Orders are being shouted up and down the stairs and there is no chance to enjoy the terrace yourself. I was accused of stealing wine from the fridge, I showed him the wine we had enjoyed the night before which he agreed was not one of his, but no apology was forthcoming. It was the low spot of our 6 and a half week holiday and I have had no other problems on our trip. Noto is lovely but avoid this accommodation at all costs.
