"Ideal one night stopover for ferry from Oban.
On the pier with patking at the railway station.
Room is small but had everything we needed.
Shops and restaurants nearby."
"Food was great and evening dinners in particular. Staff were excellent and attentive. Island walk was lovely and pool excellent and empty when we used it. Very relaxing."
"Most firm and uncomfortable bed I’ve slept on. Bathroom had a dreadful sickening smell and a leak (a little water on the floor)- room 8. The one thing I did like was the view, amazing view, but given the other things it was not worth £125 for just this view.
Staff were very nice, bar was lovely with a nice selection of alcohol and the breakfast was very good- fresh selection of fruit, cereal, pastries, juices, toast and choice of hot option from the menu, e.g a roll, full cooked breakfast. "
"Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. The room was spacious, pretty well furnished and clean. Dinner and breakfast was not exceptional but OK. However the biggest pluses were the tranquil location overlooking Loch Feochan and the staff. From arrival to departure every member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Tom needs to be singled out for being exceptionally helpful when we discovered a tyre puncture on departure. He helped us to source and arrange for a replacement and fix. despite missing our lunch appointment, the hotel is hardly a bad place to spend an extra 90mins. Very highly recommended."
"The water in the shower was tepid at best. Apparently they had the boilers replaced recently, they told us, but the shower was poor.
Kettle had a massive dent in it. The replaced kettle only worked when placed on the electricity supply at just the right angle.
All the furniture in the room was cheap and tacky faux oak laminate where the oak was peeling off.
An electricity cable was taped to the walls up the stairs.
Basically you have to wonder why they bother to keep the hotel going. It’s in need of huge refurbishment and gives off the opinion of why are they continuing to bother offering accommodation. Very surprised it’s on the Hotels.com listing of venues to sleep. If I was Hotels.com I’d remove it as it damages their reputation. "
