Very nice hotel — I would definitely stay here again if I return to Nakatsugawa. The staff were kind and helpful, the breakfast was excellent, and having access to an onsen was a real plus. A very comfortable and relaxing stay.

The Taoya Hotel is exceptional. After hiking the Nakasendo trail, we enjoyed a spectacular Japanese and Western buffet. There was sake, beer, and wine included. What a great find! Everything was outstanding: from check in to check out: super friendly and helpful staff, spotless place, very well organised, great food, plentiful breakfast,… I wish I had booked for an extra night. The whole family loved it!
