"The check in staff was rocky, but upon speaking to another staff member it was taken care of. Hotel was wonderful, with wam breakfast, fun amenities. Along with a wonderful room."

"Very accommodating staff."

"Staff were very pleasant and nice. TV in our room didn’t work. Given we were in the middle of the World Cup, we’re soccer fans, and we had a two night stay, that was a major inconvenience. Other than the reception personnel, no indication this was even attempted to be addressed and no offer of compensation. Did not make us feel valued."

"We loved the sophisticated feel of staying in an older, elegant home. The breakfast was amazing and so nicely served in the dining room. Our room was very nice, and large. What we didn’t enjoy was the hilly walk from the parking to the house then a narrow staircase to our room. It was quite challenging."

The staff was really helpful as we arrived very late after our flight got delayed several times in Halifax and didn't get info in St. John's until 1am. Understood what I was getting into with shared bathrooms, hearing other guests absolutely destroying the toilet while I'm taking a shower, not surprised the laundry card machine and multiple vending machines ate my change; it's whatever, I've stayed in student housing before and have had a great time. "Great for last minute overnight stay before catching a super early flight because of the proximity to the airport. Need a car to get to downtown, otherwise it’s a 40 min walk. Old-fashioned room with dated furniture."

"Liked: room size and layout; easy parking and access; closet layout. Clean Disliked: room fan/ac/ heat was impossibly loud making it difficult to sleep- hear the tv or even carry on a conversation. (Room 406) -1 for that issue. Desk staff were unhelpful and not typical of my previous NL experiences. Over a 4 night stay, we engaged at check in/out and 3 questions - they couldn’t care less and were of no help."

"It’s was a beautiful property, walking distance to the harbor and memorials and many great restaurants with live music. Room was very nice and comfortable."

"We had booked here 2 night arriving in NL and 2 nights leaving after 2 weeks touring . You are downtown and close to everything. $35 flat rate taxi fee from airport. Felt safe. Downtown Streets could use alittle TLC. Next to Duckworth pub which is famous for its fish and chips. Couldn’t tell you as it can be very busy. We even hiked to Quidi Viti via signal hill. "The staff were friendly and helpful. The property was clean and well maintained. I wasn’t expecting a kitchen in the room, but it proved to be very convenient. The only thing that I was disappointed in, was there wasn’t a charging station for my EV Hybrid vehicle."
