"The partial view from unit 1 could only be seen if you stood in the right position outside on the balcony and then you could just see some ocean. The apartment had all the facilities, however it is getting a little dated and in need of maintenance. The fans had dust on top and the bedroom fan control knob was broken and difficult to turn without it."

"This place was very easy to find, we were traveling down from Auckland and needed somewhere to stay. This was the perfect spot for needing a quick shower and overnight sleep. Front desk was super helpful and ready for our stay even tho we reserved the room online a couple hours before arriving."

"The rooms were spacious and clean. Great size spa tub. And very friendly service. Also close (walking distance) to Kopeopeo shops etc We will definitely come back, and recommend this place to anyone looking at staying in Whakatane. "

Location is good for access to town etc but don’t be fooled by the photos on the listing as the cabins have literally no view … ours looked directly onto the back of another unit that was about 10 meters away and the large refurbishment building work ( noisy) going on on the main hotel building. "

"Unit was warm without extra heating owing to thermal quality build despite its age. Also helped quietness. Facilities bare minimum for meal preparation, fridge undersized for people travelling with supplies "

"Everything was great ( room a bit dated but functional) except for the hours of the spa in the private rooms. Couldnt have a morning spa or a spa before getting busy. Its between 330pm till 930pm otherwise its empty. I appreciate the fresh new water though after emptying.Couldnt have a spa after coming back from dinner, had to plan earlier. Theres a draining pipe in the middle and its just constantly loud from water rushing in. Its not very relaxing. Its a shame becuase theres so much...
