Tired and closing down

Not that far from Bruge but completely inaccessible if you don't have a car. Very pleasant green surroundings and the donkeys they had were friendly. Rooms,furnishings and decor very tired and basic - more like you would expect in a hostel. Main problem is that the 'hotel' was closing [for good] down a couple of days after our visit so was in the process of being stripped down - so no evening restaurant (no cooker left in the kitchen), nothing to make tea or coffee in your room. However, was kindly given permission to 'self-serve' on a kettle that was left. Despite the fact that the kitchen really didn't exist the breakfast wasn't that bad - but nothing cooked of course. Pleasant staff. wi-fi failed on the first day but came back later and was good. TV fine and working. We were out most of the day so wasn't a huge issue for us but pretty basic even by 2 star standards and didn't feel especially like a good value deal as a result. Staff were friendly and I think have new positions when the hotel closes [which it will have down by now 10 Jan]. Needs a massive cash injection and a re-think on audience and room quality before could recommend.

This was a charming property in the country. The staff spoke English or at least enough to translate and get by. There were three of us on the strip myself, my elderly mother, and my teenage daughter. It seemed like a long way from the front door to our room. In the room, there was a single bed, a table, and dresser with the bathroom on the first floor. Then, loft type stairs/ladder up to the second floor with a double bed, a wardrobe, and a desk. It was adorable, comfortable, and clean. We would stay again. We did not have the breakfast as we were wanting to get on the road early.

Außen "hui" und innen "pfui"!!!!!! Dieses Hotel ist die schlimmste Absteige, die ich jemals erlebt habe. Die Unterkunft ist keinen einzigen Cent wert; das Frühstück übrigens auch nicht. Das Zimmer war nicht sauber, insbesondere das Bad wurde ganz offensichtlich nicht richtig gereinigt. Auch der Vorhang war schmuddelig dreckig. Die Ausstattung war ausreichend, immerhin war ein kleiner Kühlschrank vorhanden. Und nein, der Spruch: "Für eine Nacht geht das schon" greift hier überhaupt nicht. Wir hatten übrigens das Zimmer Nr. 15; vielleicht sind die anderen Zimmer nicht so schlimm. Wir haben ja schon die Erfahrung gemacht, dass wir eher die minderwertigen Zimmer bekommen, weil wir mit Hund anreisen, für den wir 10 Euro extra bezahlt haben. Das Frühstück (8,- pro Person) war ebenso unterirdisch. Der "Kaffee" wurde in einer am Buffet stehenden großen Thermoskanne angeboten. Er hat geschmeckt, als wäre er am Vortag aufgebrüht worden. Ansonsten: Brötchen: aufgebacken & altbacken, Wurst, Käse in Maßen und von minderwertigen Qualität und der traurige Rest war genauso unappetlich. Auf unserem Tisch war ein kleines Stück Butter eingedeckt, was nicht gereicht hat. Wer es noch nicht begriffen hat: Nein, wir können diese Unterkunft auf gar keinen Fall weiterempfehlen!!!!!! Nie wieder!!!! Wo bleibt eigentlich unser Schmerzensgeld? Aber um auch etwas Positives zu sagen: Die Matratze war gut; keine Rückenschmerzen, als wir vom Hahn-Krähen geweckt wurden.

Pessoal simpático mas muito barulho

O quarto é muito bom, novo e moderno, a Internet funciona muito bem e é rápida, o pessoal muito simpático e acolhedor, porém o quarto tem muito barulho e não tem isolamento acústico. Fomos acordados as 2 da manhã, depois as 6h00 e as 8h00 começou uma obra ao lado do nosso quarto. Não conseguimos descansar, um horror!

Mycket god tilltag fiskrätt!!!!

Maten var yppligt god. Men enbart kocken var social, de övriga svarade bara ja, nej eller tack på alla frågor. Utcheckningen hade dock ett leende och önskade oss en trevlig resa. Platsen är långt ut på landet, i en fin miljö.

Das Hotel Roothof liegt etwa außerhalb sehr idyllisch umgeben von Natur. Leider ist es ein sehr einfach ausgestattetes Hotel. Es eignet sich gut für Familien mit Kindern (Spielmöglichkeiten wie Trampolin, Tischtennisplatte vorhanden). Gebucht wurden 4 Zimmer zur Einzelnutzung. Leider roch es in mindestens einem Badezimmer stark nach Abfluss aus der Dusche. Erwartet wurde, dass das Personal dies bemerkt (eigentlich müsste dies bereits vor dem Einzug bemerkt werden/behoben sein) und behebt. Da dies am 2 Tag nicht der Fall war reklamierte ich dies am 2. Abend von 5 Tagen an der Rezeption. Der Mitarbeiter sagte zu, dass er dies notiert und weiterleitet. Leider ohne Ergebnis. Die Reklamation am 4 Morgen per E-Mail führte zu einer Behebung des Mangels, so dass am letzten Tag (Tag 5) tatsächlich einmal das Bad nicht roch. An 4 von 5 Tagen waren folglich erhebliche Mängel vorhanden. Dass man im Eifer des Gefechtes dann noch das Duschgel vergessen hatte, rundete den wenig positiven Eindruck ab. Glücklich, wer dann Eigenes dabei hat. Das Hotel hätte dringend eine Renovierung nötig, von der Mauer im Zimmer abfallende Farbe ist ebenfalls keine Empfehlung. Schade, anstatt der Entschuldigung per E-Mail hätte man zumindest ein kleines Gimmick (Getränk z. B. Tasse Kaffee auf Kosten des Hauses oder ähnliches) z. B. bei der Bezahlung/Abreise gewähren können. So bleibt leider der insgesamt negative Eindruck bestehen.
