"When choosing this beautiful location we were originally looking at staying in Opotiki (15 kms south) but decided this was a far better option based on the ammenities and views offered. The price was also less than staying in your standard motel in town.
Our host was there to meet us and made us feel most welcome explaining the options and set up. He recommended a wonderful restaurant for dinner ( The Royal) and we weren’t disappointed at all.
The surrounding area is rich with native birds...
"So peaceful this time of year (September 2026) hardly anyone in the camp and we had no neighbours in the studio next door so completely private and quiet.

"Spent one night here and was upgraded to a larger room it was quiet as it was the end of winter.
Very well maintained quiet and clean would have enjoyed the outdoor area if it had been summer. Would definitely stay again particularly in summer as it’s located right across from the beach."
