"A really outstanding small town hotel. The owners have a cafe onsite with a limited menu but food is healthy and outstanding. A walking trail alongside the town’s small creek is a gem. Great lace. "
"::: off season ~ mid- April :::
But still! The pool & hot tub was empty. The ice machine was broken. (3 night stay) We had a room with a hot tub in it, we had to run the water in the hot tub for 5 minutes because it was all rusty. Same with the shower, had to run it for a few minutes to actually get hot water, but it was clear. The bed was very firm. The couch was missing the back two legs. I told the one staffer the next morning that the hot tub water would not stop running. He said since it was a Saturday he'll try to call a plumber. Possibly move me to another hot tub room. Well after we got back from sightseeing he said he was never able to reach anybody and actually the people in the other hot tub room did not check out. So the drip got more to a stream. The top door frame actually hit the door. Sunday I noticed a new staffer, he said that HE just took it over the hotel that day and he will get maintenance to fix it. When we returned from sightseeing it was not done and him, the original staffer, and a maintenance man all had to come into our room. Didn't fix, he said they'll have to break the whole hot tub out and replace it from the bottom. As I checked out Monday I asked for some kind of compensation for the room. He said if I come back it will all be taken care of, I said I would not come back to this hotel. No discount was given. I would not recommend staying at this hotel."
"I was very disappointed that there was no USB charging port in the room. And no alarm clock. I was worried my phone would die and then had no clock to rely on either. There was a coffee pot in one of our rooms but not the others. Apparently the hotel is remodeling and there was furniture stacked in random places throughout the building. It looked terrible. The ice machine on our floor was facing backwards and was unusable. Not a great experience, but it was cheap. Breakfast was ok."
"Room was in horrible condition, bed felt like you were laying on a board. Bedding smelt stale and like mildew. We left and didn’t even stay, could not stay in the smell. The flooring was also damaged in several places causing a trip hazard for someone in a walker like me. "
"Room.. well, let's see... Hot water was nowhere to be found. Just barely warm enough for a shower. Tv had a huge crack down the middle of it. Microwave was filthy. People were super nice & the room was cheap. "
