The hotel was in the best imaginable location perched on top of a hill with 360 degree views. Orvieto is a 20 minute drive away and can be seen from the hotel. The pool is wonderful and was very welcome in the heat. The room was cool and comfortable and although the air conditioning wasn't brilliant, it was adequate. The food in the restaurant was typical for the area, locally produced and brilliantly cooked and we all enjoyed it very much. The wine, produced on the estate, was excellent. The Internet didn't work for the whole 3 days we were there, but this was more of a concern to our teenage son than us. we discussed it with the manager who had already complained to the service provider and he kindly recompensed us with a gift from the estate shop. All in all this was a relaxing and welcome break.
