"Pros: Beautiful view. The grounds are lovingly maintained and lush. The staff are hardworking, attentive, and friendly. The main highlight of this venue is the food, which is truly world class. Amazing breakfast with incredible french toast. If you value fresh and local ingredients, the quality here is hard to top. We would have loved to do the cooking class but did not get the time to. Dinners were great too, albeit not included and relatively expensive for Vietnam. Great location - 10 minute drive to Sapatown but far enough away to be mostly quiet. The pool with the view is nice but cool as not heated. The 3 small dogs that roam the premises are friendly/entertaining if you are a dog person. Soft bedding and clean + well sized room. Air conditioning in the room worked well. Cons: No safe in room, however you can leave valuables at front desk. No mini fridge in room. There is an itemized list posted in the room of the cost of any item if you break or damage it. While I appreciate the intent of clear communication, it came across a bit hostile and made us hypervigilant to leave no trace. The room soundproofing wasn't great - if a loud car came by, you heard it, albeit infrequent - same goes for the birds chirping at sunrise. Most daytime activities were not included and costed significantly more compared to organizing independently - we opted to organize our own trekking. At 170 CAD a night for the seasonal house + breakfast included, we felt it was moderately overpriced."

"Our stay was most memorable. The team at Eco Palms House was over the top fantastic. Nam and Be were oustanding in accommodating every need. Complements to the chef who perpared our meals. We found ourselves enjoying the meals at Eco Palms House as one of the best restaurants in Sapa. Definitely a must stay."

"We ended up leaving this property earlier than planned because we were really disappointed with our stay. We know our visit fell over Lunar New Year, which is obviously a very busy time, and we completely understand that this can make things more hectic. That said, from the moment we arrived, we didn’t feel welcomed. We had booked and paid in advance and arrived three hours after check-in time, so we expected our room to be ready. Instead, we were told that relatives were staying in the room we had booked. We were also informed that someone had previously tried to cancel our booking, which was worrying. There was no real greeting or welcome, and it immediately made us feel like we were an inconvenience. There was also a clear language barrier. We understand there may only be one English-speaking staff member, but at times other staff seemed dismissive and even walked away while we were trying to speak with them. We stayed polite and respectful throughout, but it didn’t feel like that effort was returned. Very little information was shared with us during our stay. We weren’t approached about the advertised trekking tour, and since we didn’t book one, we weren’t given any suggestions on what else we could do. One evening, we came out of our room to find staff and other guests all eating dinner together, which hadn’t been mentioned to us at all."
