Extremely vulgar vanity project of Ceausescu, with little to recommend it. The various records - largest, most expensive etc - just add to its tackiness. That said, it is a curious insight into the delusions of a madman, and worth a visit. Make sure to head for the entrance on the north side as it is a very long walk around the perimeter
