"Hotel is in a perfect location on Calle 60. It is located less than 2 blocks from Parc Santa Lucia, & 5 block from Grande Plaza. Room immaculate, with a lovely patio overlooking the pool. Breakfast was one of the best I've had in a Hotel. Fresh cooked to order, with warm fresh from the oven croissants, fresh fruit and yogurt. All staff members were EXCEPTIONAL. With a special thanks to Isabella, & Anna. Gino the owner was visible much of the time & wonderful to help in any way...

"A peaceful, relaxing oasis with a beautiful pool/ courtyard area and comfortable rooms decorated in a traditional style. The homemade breakfasts were incredible and more than substantial. Easy walk to town center, shopping and restaurants (but without the noise of the city). George, Sarah and Aaron were always available and very helpful. Highly recommend doing a food tour at the local market (near Plaza Grande) for better food at a fraction of the price of the touristy restaurants. Also enjoyed...

"Très bel hôtel, le design est sublime! Les déjeuners sont très bons, mais le choix du forfait déjeuner inclus est très restreint et n’inclut même pas le lait pour ton café. En général ce fut un séjour très plaisant, mais sincèrement, j’ai déjà eu meilleur service ailleurs pour un 5 étoiles, rien d’épatant, mais très bien quand même."

"This is a beautiful historic hotel but lacks some amenities found in newer hotels. For example, there’s no elevator or swimming pool. Of these items aren’t critical to you then I’d recommend staying at this charming hotel. My only recommendation would be to add filtered water on the ground floor or first floor for guests. The staff were very helpful and accommodating! "

"We had an excellent stay at Villa Orquidea and still had more places on our list after a week in Merida. Our hosts Griselda, Sonia & Denise were very helpful with ideas for restaurants, things to see and private drivers. There are so many good restaurants! Breakfast was delightful including home-made banana bread, though we mostly ate light. "

"This hotel is in an ideal location, walking distance to everything in Merida. The staff are very helpful with restaurant suggestions and places to visit. The common areas are lovely, and how you would imagine an hacienda 100 years ago. Our room was very basic - wifi was slow and the phone would not fully charge overnight (with a message of slow charging.)"
