Hotel Residence Arcobaleno

10/10 Excellent

"I stayed at the hotel for a week and it was a beautiful hotel. The staff were very friendly. The grounds were beautiful. It’s very close to the beach. About 20 minutes and maybe a half hour walking back before it’s all up hill but worth it. There’s a market and a pharmacy just down the road for fresh deli meats and vegetables. The complimentary breakfast buffet was really good. The dinners are fantastic. It’s really inexpensive to eat there. It’s a bit out of the way but that’s fine. I used public transportation to the hotel. They have a shuttle service from where the last bus drops you off. It’s only €25. But going back to the airport from the hotel you are going to need the shuttle service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit southern Italy. Ciao."

"The hotel was very well maintained. The room was clean, had refrigerator and nice shower . The staff is very friendly and efficient. The hotel situated on the top of the hill about 10 minutes walking from the center, 15 minutes walking from the beach, and 6 minutes walking from the train station. There are tons of great restaurants in the center. I booked this hotel because the website states that it has pool and sauna, The pool was great and clean, but I found out that If you want to use sauna, you have to pay for it separately €20/40minutes, also the use of the beach towel is €3 per use. If you want to use shuttle to the beach it is €20 at scheduled times. Breakfast was great, but would not recommend it for dinner. I only booked dinner one time, because they had local musicians playing Calabrian music. The music and performance were great, but the food tasted like warmed up frozen dinners and wine was not included in the price of the dinner (€35). They have good variety of massages and almost everyday, as an addition include complimentary mini facial , I think the name of the massage girl was Vincenza, she was really great. You just have to book your appointment at the front desk during morning time. Overall great hotel, would stay here again."
