"We really loved the staff and reception. We had beach access and breakfast included. That was a really nice feature. It's a little confusing in the website, but the staff were very nice and helped us gain access to the Nuova Italia beach club. Breakfast was pretty good, hot dishes like eggs, sausage and bacon, and a very nice spread of cakes and pastries. We'd stay here again, the only complaint, the beds were very hard in our room. Despite that, it was great!"

"Villa del Papa is a gorgeous property perfectly located between Lucca and Pisa. The small village is charming and there are conveniences within easy walking distance. We had perfect weather for the pool... even in May!! You will enjoy your time at Villa del Papa!"

"Staff was excellent, but the main reason I wanted to stay there was because I thought it had an onsite bar and restaurant (which it did, but we were discouraged from using). The hotel was still in a state of disrepair (maintenance crew and noise). Because it was so new, there weren't many people there, which was a bummer. I was hoping for a little bit of a social scene."
