Renovations going on inside and outside the hotel at the time we stayed. Front desk staff are meh. I stood there for quite a while when we arrived, watching one person at the front desk checking off something from too long two columns of a list and another staff member eating before they acknowledged me. "After we lost power this week, we needed a place to stay. They were very welcoming to our local family. The front desk person was concerned for our inconvenience of having to find a place to stay until our power was restored. The place was clean. Our room was comfortable and very quiet. Next time we have out of town visitors or we need a place to stay we will definitely contact them."

"Rustic and simple but very clean room in a quiet and peaceful off-the-beaten-track area with a friendly and helpful manager. When an unforeseen weather event took down many trees and power lines, resulting in no electricity or running water that night and with the street temporarily blocked, the manager was very kind and helpful and provided water bottles and offered adjustments. This was in the face of a days-long disaster for both the inn and the whole township."
