Stillsam höstort
Trevligt hotell med bra läge för promenader till hamnen och nära till museum. Mycket lugnt nu under hösten, tror det är mer livligt på sommaren. De flesta restauranger var stängda på kvällen och ingen affär fanns på orten.
Mycket att välja på till frukost. Personalen hade lite problem med engelska, men det löste sig till slut. Ok sängar men fruktansvärd, knölig kudde! Den fördelade sig i flera, så ”note to self” - nästa gång vi tar bilen åker den egna kudden med....

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Interessant, immer wieder eine Reise wert !
Spontanbuchung,ohne Vorkenntnisse. Lage im äußersten Norden der Insel. Wenn man sich mit der Geschichte auseinandersetzen möchte, dann hat viele Möglichkeiten.Mann sollte auf den Wegen bleiben, wegen der Gefahren durch alte Munition auf der ganzen Inselspitze. Ein ehemaliges Sumpfland mit viel Aufwand durch Deiche und Betonpfählung nutzbar gemacht. Im zweiten Weltkrieg und danach für militärische Versuche und die Marine genutzt ( Hochsicherheitszone ) Peenemünde wird immer ein besonderer Ort bleiben, hat mit den Ostseebädern wenig gemeinsam. Es war ein interessanter Urlaub,wir haben viel entdeckt und das wohnen in der Zwiebel war sehr angenehm. Wir werden nach einigen Jahren wieder kommen, um uns einen Überblick über die Entwicklung zu verschaffen.

Netjes en vriendelijk
Op het Hotel niets aan te merken. Netjes en schoon.
Receptionist liep netjes mee om kamer aan te wijzen en gaf een kaartje waarop hij de restaurants en dergelijke aangaf.
De omgeving valt helaas tegen. Het techniek museum is mooi maar word oud.
Voor ons was de historie m.b.t. de tweede wereldoorlog de reden om een bezoek te brengen aan Peenemunde. Helaas is bijna alles tegenwoordig afgezet en afgesloten en alleen met een tour te bezoeken.

Great hotel in Peenemunde
This hotel is very nice. It's locally owned and operated and has a very personal feel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are a nice size with en suite bathrooms. The rooms are on the second floor with no lift, but staff can help with bags if needed. The breakfast is included and quite elaborate. The Peenemünde Historical Technical Museum is walking distance with great displays and extensive information about the rocket research and the history of the area. The harbor is adjacent to the museum with several restaurants and fresh local seafood. You will really enjoy this place.
