"A wonderful 3 night stay in the family suite with two double beds. Service from all the hotel staff was wonderful from the moment we arrived, and they went above and beyond from giving us a takeaway breakfast on our last day when we left early, as well as helping with our hired tuktuk! Hotel is further out of Galle Fort (about a 10min tuktuk drive/25 min walk), but setting of buildings onsite is lovely, centred around the main pool and communal outside area. "Booked for one night but ended up staying a day longer. Charming tiny hotel in a popular strip. The location is right off the main road with plenty of dining options nearby. Direct view of the Indian ocean from the bed in the mornings and evening is breathtaking. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Request for a "devilled chicken" to have with a cold Lion beer. "We were really looking forward to staying at Green Villa but upon arrival they said there was a problem with the room and they were completely booked so had to book us in a hotel next door. The place next door was dirty and only half as nice. I went back when I saw they had availability the next 3 nights and they were able to put us in a ground floor room (I paid for a balcony) but it was still nice. "Stayed here many time. Staff amazing and place really beautiful. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Unawatuna. Good Wi-Fi in communal areas (doesn’t quite reach all rooms). The eco friendly question hotels.com asks is difficult to answer. They give lots of bottled water, which I guess isn’t very eco-friendly - but that is what tourists want. I guess maybe if they had a large central water dispenser people could refill bottles for that would reduce plastic use. I think some tourists might complain...
