"The hotel was probably the best in the local area, however while it was acceptable, several items would not make it an easy choice to return. The hotel was often full of smoke, a good portion of the beds were extremely hard. the Traffic noise from outside was disturbing. the Breakfast was restricted and very average. On the bright side, the reception staff and manager were helpful and friendly, and the rooms were of a decent size. The location on a busy intersection meant that there was not much...

"One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. The property is relaxing and peaceful and the best part for us was the breakfast. Everything was freshly made and they even have fruit that grows on the property. They have free bikes to use but most of the places you want to visit can be a bit of a drive so you can rent a motorbike from them. Cant wait to be back!"

"The views are incredible and so are the staff. They were extremely helpful and wanted to make sure we were taken care of. They provided free bikes so we were able to ride around the local area which was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon after doing the boat tour. There’s tons of bars and restaurants a few minutes down the road. The town proper was a bit of a bike ride but definitely manageable and the ride itself is beautiful so no complaints about that. C'Lau Hotel Ninh Binh - A Gem Nestled in Ancient Quarter

10/10 Excellent

"The room and staff were excellent at the hotel. At first I did not like it due to the construction going on right against the hotel wall from the next door building. It was very noisy. I was so impressed that the manager talked to the workers there and got them to keep the worst of the noise down. Great job! It was not the hotel's fault that there was literally construction going on on three sides of the hotel at other buildings. It did not happen at night, so I was able to sleep fine. There was a holiday going on as well, but that was all over Vietnam and fortunately the loud music outside and the fireworks ended by 10 PM. Special mention to the bellhop who was also the guy who took care of things at breakfast. His service was outstanding!! Breakfast had two choices which they sent you in the evening. It was a Viet-style breakfast but tasty."
