WE BOOKED THE CORAL ISLAND RESORT FOR 2 DAYS, FEB 1-3, 2018. UPON ARRIVAL, WE WAITED 1+ HOURS AFTER OUR CHECK IN TIME TO RECEIVE A ROOM. THEY INSISTED ON HAVING A COPY OF OUR PASSPORTS BUT DID NOT HAVE A WORKING COPY MACHINE TO MAKE A COPY.. AFTER GOINGBACK AND FORTH WE CONVINCED THEM WE WOULD NOT LEAVE THEM WITH OUR ORIGINAL PASSPORTS! THE HOTEL IS COMPLETELY RUN DOWN AND NOTHING IS AS PICTURED. THE WOOD PLANK WALK WAYS ARE FALLING APART, MY BOYFRIEND FELL KNEE DEEP THROUGH THE PLANKS ON OUR FIRST DAY THERE. THEY RAN OUT OF BOTTLED DRINKING WATER BY 8PM OUR FIRST NIGHT. THE LISTING DOES NOT STATE THEY HAVE 2 MANDATORY POWER OUTAGES FROM 12PM TO 2PM AND FROM 10PM TO MIDNIGHT... THIS MEANS NO AIR CONDITIONING, NO LIGHTS, NOTHING!
ON OUR FIRST NIGHT AT 9PM THE GENERATORS WENT OUT AND WE DID NOT HAVE POWER UNTIL 230PM THE NEXT DAY.. THIS ALSO SHUT OFF THEIR WATER. WE WERE UNABLE TO SHOWER, FLUSH THE TOILET NOR BRUSH OUR TEETH UNTIL 230PM THE NEXT DAY.. MIND YOU THIS WAS AFTER SLEEPING WITH NO AIR CONDITIONING THE NIGHT BEFORE.. THE ROOMS DO NOT HAVE SCREENS THEREFORE YOU WERE FORCED TO SLEEP WITH THE DOORS SHUT OR GET EATEN ALIVE BY MOSQUITOS. THEY HOLD OUT ON CERTAIN SUPPLIES FOR CERTAIN GUEST TO TRY AND NOT MAKE ANYONE TOO ANGRY.. WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE OUT OF CERTAIN DRINKS, WHEN THEY WOULD LATER SERVE THE SAME DRINKS TO OTHER GUESTS. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST EXPIERENCE I HAVE EVER HAD, ANYWHERE. IM LOOKING TO GET A FULL REFUND AND HAVE RESORT REMOVED FROM BOOKING SITES!
