Hotel La Fonda Taos
"The property is dated (it is old/historic!), but the common areas and room were clean. The coffee shop was small but nice and had good coffee/lattes. The woman working the front desk when we checked in and most of the two nights we stayed was nice and helpful. We declined housekeeping and really did not see others working there, so unable to comment on other staff. The AC did not work well so the room was warm. There were fans but it was not enough to cool the rooms to comfortable sleeping temp. Parking ($10/night) was convenient and we had no issues, but we did worry a bit about security of parking area and “openness” of the hotel lobby because there were people that were not guests that were hanging around behind the hotel near the parking lot. There are restaurants and shopping right outside the hotel and within walking distance, but several that were recommended required short drives. All in all we were happy with our stay, but if we come back to Taos we will choose to stay outside of Taos downtown."

"Room was clean and had plenty of amenities. The only complaint I world have is the condensation build up on the inside of the room. It caused a lot of water build up that ran down the windows into the floor. Outside of that it was a wonderful room."

Be aware if you’re going on a work trip Internet connection was very spotty but for us it was good as it forced us to get off our phones and focus on the beautiful surroundings."

"The carpet in the room is stained and dirty and needs to be cleaned. The Handicap lever at exterior entry to the hotel does not work. It was reported to front desk; they were aware and had not fixed yet. A lobby Handicapped bathroom door does not open easily and sticks. Also reported that to front desk."
