"Room was fine, nothing special, but clean. Mini split AC great addition. I found the bed uncomfortable but my partner didn't mind it. Our only complaint was the coffee pot had serious scaling and "floaters". Staff all very nice. Wonderful location to local spots. "
Hotel Don Fernando de Taos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"A return visit to the Don in Taos! Great location on the southern end of the main drag. The indoor pool is always refreshing and the property has a nice southwest vibe. We had a good puppy dog with us so the property is spread out nicely that you don’t really notice too many other people. Had other options this year, but was happy to return to this property. For the price point, you can’t beat it! "
"Room was extremely clean, but the furniture is in need of an overhaul. Had expected a whirlpool bath but shower only, though shower itself was top notch. Beds need an upgrade as well, most hotels of the caliber have gone hybrid foam or hybrid coil. TV is too small given room size which is quite spacious.
A scolding from the valet for improper check-in didnt sit well either. Matter of fact, the hotel might consider a conversation about quest etiquette with the whole valet staff.
Gorgeous hotel and grounds. Close to central Taos which is a plus. "
"Or stay at this property was absolutely wonderful. Our rooms were clean and welcoming. The bed was comfortable and luxurious. When you walk into the main house you just get this old world New Mexico vibe that takes you back in time. Fireplaces were crackling and guests were really made to feel welcome for a respite after a long day of travel. We arrived in the evening and it was so peaceful and serene. If you're looking for solitude, this is definitely the place to stay. The breakfast was also delicious. They served homemade quiche, bagels, fresh fruit and yogurt, fresh pastries, juices, and assorted coffees and teas. I wish I had a longer stay, but I will definitely return. I couldn't ask for a better stay or better host. "
"The red and green flashing LED light in the room was very annoying. Not sure of its purpose. Also, it was impossible to see the dark keypad for entering the room at the end of the corridor at night. You had to guess where the first number might be. "
